iOS 7 Beta Release Date Rumors: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

The final release date of iOS 7 as well as the iPhone 5S & iPhone 5C will be announced during the company’s press conference tomorrow. Here are five fast facts you need to know.

1. Will the Download Be Available Tomorrow?

The iPhone 5S & iPhone 5C are supposed to be launched tomorrow at Apple’s annual fall press conference, but what about iOS 7? The popular operating system made a memorable appearance in June at WWDC 2013 and has been a constant source of experimentation over the summer with countless copies being seeded to developers. The new flat design and enhanced user interface were two particular talking points when it premiered over the summer. However, the likelihood that the final download will be available tomorrow is low.

2. The Release Date Will Most Likely Be at the End of the Month

All of the betas seeded over the summer had various positive and negative features. There is still a chance that the iOS needs some more tweaks, which is why the company may postpone the rollout until September 20. September 13 may be the target date for pre-orders while the iPhone 5S could hit store shelves on September 20. It would make sense for the final installment to be embedded in the flagship phone.

3. iOS 6 Followed a Similar Schedule Last Year

Last year, iOS 6 was rolled out in a similar fashion. Tim Cook stood among a crowd of journalists touting the new iPhone 5 and the associated operating system. iOS 6 arrived on September 19 with the iPhone 5 going on sale September 21. iOS 7 is being heralded as the most significant update to the mobile operating system. Apple’s team of developers need some more work to hone the program, ensuring all the new features found in the betas work efficiently.

4. Does iOS 7 for the New iPads Still Need Work?

A delay in the program meant for Apple’s new set of tablets could be a cause of pushing off the final release date and download. The operating system for the iPhones is right on track but no new information has come out regarding the fabled iPad 5 or iPad Mini 2. Since the iPhones are a focal point, the tablets may not gain this update until October at some point.

5. What Can We Expect Tomorrow?

September 10 will hopefully put to rest dozens of rumors regarding these items. Apple is strict about secrecy and will be guarding its products closely. The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will be the highlights along with a refined iOS 7. Glitches and bugs like crashing apps should be completely erased while the two new iPhones should be covered in their respective graphite and gold cases. We’ll be updating tomorrow with all the new information the press conference will bring so check back here for more details!
