Check out this new video put out by Valve showing their new controller being use for a variety of genres. The video starts out with Portal 2, but then goes on to show Civilization 5:

In yet another game type, the Valve engineer shows that you can quickly move across the screen for more menu-based games.

Overall, Valve’s controller looks promising and versatile. We’re excited to see how it develops with time and as gamers get their hands on the prototype. Valve says they’ll be sending out 300 of these puppies shortly for increased feedback in developing the perfect controller.
