The above screenshot leaked onto the Chinese social microblogging site Weibo. The icons are likely indicative of how iOS 8 will look and feel when it launches. However, not everyone is convinced that this image is a legit screen grab. Some people think it may just be a Photoshopped piece of concept art.
MacRumors reports that the source of image cannot be verified. However, some insiders say the icons are real.
A commenter on MacRumors notes that 9to5Mac has supported the veracity of the screenshot:
“Mark Gurman from 9to5Mac has a 100% perfect track record when it comes to his own sources. Yeah, 100%, heโs never been wrong so far out of the 30 times he chimed in on something and it later got verified.”
One of the most intriguing icons is “Healthbook,” Apple’s rumored fitness app for iOS 8 that may connect to the iWatch.
Apple is expected to unveil iOS 8 later this year at WWDC 2014.
