1. OtterBox Symmetry Series Case
Pros:- Durable design
- Easy to install
- Wireless charge compatible
Cons:- Bulky design
- High price tag
- Limited color options
The OtterBox Symmetry Series case may be expensive but it is probably one of the best protective options available for the LG V60 ThinQ. It is not quite as durable as the classic OtterBox Defender but this single-piece case still provides more drop protection than any other case we’ve reviewed so far. That said, it is also a bit bulkier than other cases we’ve reviewed, though not to the point that the wireless charging or 5G is inhibited.
Both of these features work fine and all of the phone’s buttons are easily accessible. In a way, the snap-on design of this case is an advantage as it makes this case easier to remove when you want to use the LG V60’s Dual Screen case attachment.

2. Speck Presidio Grip Case
Pros:- Grippy design
- Lightweight and durable
- Wireless charge compatible
Cons:- Limited drop protection
- High price tag
- Limited color options
The Speck Presidio Grip case is a popular mold that protects your phone primarily by preventing drops in the first place. It uses a raised rubber grip design to help keep your phone in your hand then reinforces the whole package with a protective material that has been tested to withstand drops of up to 13 feet. In this way, it basically provides two different layers of protection.
But just because the case will survive a 13-foot drop doesn’t mean your phone will inside of it. This case is kept fairly slim so as not to interfere with wireless charging so you can’t really count on it to protect from devastatingly large drops. You can, however, rely on it to reduce the wear and tear on your new phone, which is helpful considering how much mileage you will get out of the LG V60 ThinQ.

3. Urban Armor Gear Scout Case
Price: $29.95Pros:- Large raised bezel
- Grippy design
- Military-grade drop tested
Cons:- Bulky design
- Limited color options
- Stiff button covers
The Urban Armor Gear Scout is a heavy-duty protective case that will cover your LG V60 ThinQ from all angles. Its bumper frame design creates a large front bezel to protect your front screen from drops. It also meets military-grade drop test standards so it will efficiently disperse shock if you drop your phone. It has a grippy texture as well, preventing drops in the first place. If you can get past its relative bulk and higher price tag, the UAG Scout is a great choice for protecting your phone.

4. TopACE Crystal Clear Case
Pros:- Clear design
- Grippy texture
- Wireless charge compatible
Cons:- Limited drop protection
- Clear cases show dirt
- Stiff button covers
The TopACE Crystal Clear case is a minimalist’s dream come true. It is lightweight and totally transparent yet it provides scratch protection and added grip. It provides all of the benefits of a protective case without adding too much bulk or ruining the look of your LG V60. At only 1mm thick, this case won’t provide much protection against drops but it is still handy for keeping your phone’s glass frame looking new. Just be sure to keep your phone clean as dirt shows up easily through clear cases.

5. Osophter LG V60 ThinQ Case
Pros:- Lightweight and durable
- Large raised bezel
- Wireless charge compatible
Cons:- Only one color option
- Could be grippier
- Limited drop protection
The Osophter LG V60 ThinQ case is about as generic as it comes in terms of design but it offers an impressive amount of drop protection considering its value price. It uses a low-profile bumper frame design to absorb shock without adding any serious bulk to your phone. Its TPU and PC materials are quite sturdy but not as much as you may expect from its cheesy brushed metal-type finish. In other words, this case doesn’t protect from major drops. It does, however, have a raised bezel that protects the front screen and rear camera array from face-down impacts. On top of this all, it is still wireless charge compatible, making this a solid compromise between protection and portability.

6. HualuBro LG V60 ThinQ Wallet Case
Pros:- Holds 3 cards plus cash
- Several color options
- Wireless charge compatible
Cons:- Bulky design
- Limited drop protection
- Could be grippier
If you need a case that protects both your LG V60 ThinQ and your everyday carry items, the HualuBro Wallet case is a solid pick. This folio-style case has slots to hold up to 3 cards, one of which has a clear window that is perfect for an ID. It also has a larger pocket for cash if you aren’t satisfying using one of the many digital payment options available. The case closes by a magnet and is made from synthetic PU leather and TPU silicone. It is overall decent for absorbing impact but it does add some bulk to your phone. Thankfully, it is not enough to inhibit your phone’s ability to wirelessly charge.

7. Sucnakp LG V60 ThinQ Case
Pros:- Large raised bezel
- Grippy design
- Wireless charge compatible
Cons:- Limited color options
- Stiff button covers
- Limited drop protection
This protective case from Sucnakp is a great choice if you are a chronic butterfingers as its textured design provides a much better grip over your LG V60 than its stock design does (seriously guys, stop making phones so smooth). It also provides protection from scratches and basic drop protection. Its main method for dispersing impact is a bumper frame design, which works fine for smaller drops but won’t hold up if you chuck your phone off a balcony. Extreme accidents notwithstanding, the Sucnakp case is ready for any sort of mishaps you might come across in your day-to-day use.

8. Simicoo Leather Wallet Case
Pros:- Holds 2 cards plus cash
- Several color options
- Wireless charge compatible
Cons:- Bulky design
- Limited drop protection
- Could be grippier
If you are over carrying around your bulky billfold and just got an LG V60, then the Simicoo Leather Wallet Case is the perfect choice for you. This case pulls double duty by protecting both your phone and two cards plus cash. The card slots are found on the inside of the folio cover, which magnetically clasps shut in the pocket to prevent scratches to your phone’s screen.
The downside of a folio cover is that it adds some considerable bulk to your phone without adding any real drop protection. Still, it will absorb some shock in the case of a small drop so it is still better than nothing. One final thing I like about this folio case is that it can be folded over on itself to act as a media viewing stand, which is a great way to take advantage of the LG V60’s impressive 6.8-inch AMOLED display.

9. Armor-X BX3 Rugged Case
Price: $24.99Pros:- Included modular tool set
- Durable design
- Large raised bezel
Cons:- Bulky design
- Wireless charging only compatible with some accessories
- Could be grippier
The Armor-X BX3 Rugged Case takes a note from GoPro by enhancing the functionality of its cases with a modular accessory system. The whole system is designed around a piece called the key mount, which protrudes from the rear of the case where you would put an adhesive grip. In addition to acting like an adhesive grip itself, the key mount also supports other accessories you can buy on the Armor-X website such as a belt clip, a kickstand, and a car window mount.
The idea is clever and the accessories are reasonably priced. The only downside is that the key mount adds some considerable bulk to this already large phone. Also, consider that certain accessories will interfere with wireless charging. The case itself comes with a grip strap, a magnet holder, a SIM ejector, a toolbox holder, and a carabiner, but only the SIM ejector and toolbox tools work with wireless charging.
Accessories aside, the BX3 is a decent case as well, with a reasonably-sized bezel for shock absorption and scratch resistance. It has a clear back design which helps keep this case from visually dominating your LG V60. That said, the accessory set is what really sets this case apart, as it is truly sets this case apart from others.

10. Caka LG V60 ThinQ Glitter Case
Pros:- Lightweight and durable
- Glittery design
- Wireless charge compatible
Cons:- Limited drop protection
- Could be grippier
- Limited color options
The Caka LG V60 ThinQ Glitter Case stands out from the pack with its sparkly and dynamic glitter backplate which floats in a layer of liquid as you move it. This case also resists scratches which would otherwise tarnish the glass construction of the iPhone SE. It isn’t as well-suited to protect from drops, though, as it is quite thin and far from grippy. Still, if you are looking for a unique case to keep your phone looking new, then this is a solid pick.

11. Pulen Bumper Case
Pros:- Large raised bezel
- Grippy texture
- Wireless charge compatible
Cons:- Hard to remove
- Limited color options
- Limited drop protection
The Pulen Bumper Case is a hybrid case design that offers 360-degree protection for your LG V60 without adding too much bulk to the overall package. Its dual-layer construction provides an air cushioning around the phone’s vulnerable edges while creating a 1.2 mm raised bezel that cushions the front screen and rear camera array.
The downside of the two-piece case design is that the phone is harder to remove when you want to connect its Dual-Screen accessory. The good news is that you won’t have to remove the case for wireless charging, nor will you have to remove it to admire your phone’s stock design thanks to a clear TPU backplate. The case has responsive button covers and a grippy design, making it an all-around solid choice.
Do You Really Need an LG V60 ThinQ Case?
There are plenty of reasons to be excited about the LV G60 including 8K video capture, 5G support, and an optional Dual Screen case accessory. The Dual Screen is particularly interesting as it can be used to watch videos across both screens and offload your keyboard to the separate display. It can also add an additional 8 hours to your battery life. But it is not compatible with a protective case. So do you even need an LG V60 case?
I would argue that yes, you do. The Dual Screen case has its applications but you most of the time you won't be using it. You may not even buy one. And that's because it makes the phone bulky and leaves it vulnerable to drops and scratches. And since there isn't yet a case designed to protect the LG V60 ThinQ and its Dual Screen case, you'll want a protective case that you can easily slip on when you aren't using the screen accessory.
If you don't, you can easily crack your phone's glass backplate or 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display. Even small and inexpensive phone cases can make a difference when you drop your phone, and phone owners have had this figured out for a long time.
According to a 2013 study by the NPD group, 75 percent of Americans use a case for their phones. That number is likely to have grown since then and there is definitely a reason for that. Manufacturers have chosen aesthetics over durability and that makes getting an LG V60 case the easy choice.
