‘Duck Dynasty’ Season 6: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

The First Family of West Monroe, Louisiana, is back with a brand new season of Duck Dynasty on June 11.

In the preview video above, watch as the family laughs, prays and works together.

Here’s a sneak peek into what you can expect from the Robertsons as they enter Season 6 of their reality show.

1. The Governor Comes to Duck Commander

The governor of Louisiana, Bobby Jindal, visits to present Willie with a commerce award.

We already know that Jindal is a supporter of the Robertsons, defending Phil after he made homophobic comments to GQ last year.

In the interview video below, Jindal said:

Phil’s a personal friend. We were friends before I was governor, before he had a show. He is always gonna be my friend. … He’s a good man. I know he’s got love in his heart and he wants everyone to be treated with equality and respect.

In the picture above from the new season, we see Jep and John taking a break. It has yet to be determined whether they are helping Phil with his ongoing problem with beavers.

However, from A&E’s press release, we can be sure that Phil will have some issues with beavers on his land this season.

And we know how Phil feels about beavers:

If there is anything that I don’t like, it is the beaver. The problem with these beavers is they’re like the Viet Cong: They only move at night and they live in holes in the ground.

After the controversial comments Phil made in December, the video below surfaced in May, featuring a sermon to his congregation that included these words:

You say, ‘Why’d they get mad at you?’ ‘Cuz instead of acknowledging their sin, like you had better do, they railed against me for giving them the truth about their sins. Don’t deceive yourselves.

In the wake of adversity, the family stands by their patriarch and are excited to bring viewers into their homes for another season.

In an interview with People, Jase said:

We’re going to keep doing what we do. People will have their opinions about us, but we’re just trying to do the right thing. We’re really thankful to the people who have supported us through everything. We have met a lot of great people.
