Tuesday night’s episode started out in a particularly amusing way—with Heidi Klum driving around to pick up her fellow judges for a full day of auditions. She may not be the best driver, but her smile sure made up for everything.

Here are the top acts that you may have missed out on.

1. Howie Uses His Golden Buzzer For the Ratched Girls

As we all know, each judge can only use the golden buzzer once, which makes the fact that Howie used his buzzer to save the Ratched Girls all the more interesting. Howie and Mel B were huge fans of the act, but Howard and Heidi didn’t feel it so much. Enter: Howie Mandel, to save the day.

The act was hysterical. Two guys dressed in costume with wigs and skirts to impersonate girls they qualify as ratched. The audience ate it up.

2. Joe Matarese Sent The Crowd Roaring With His Comedy Act

It was the first time Joe had ever performed in front of his children, and he absolutely killed it. One of his best lines was:

Here’s a sign you’re getting old. When you go to an empty bar and you say, ‘I love this place.’

Everyone cracked up when he talked about faking enjoying his son’s fascination with leaves, and everyone was fully in support of Joe moving on to the next round. The guy was humble, passionate, and all-around good-natured.

3. Beach Avenue Sings an Original Song

We all know that singing an original song on AGT is risky, but it certainly worked for these three guys from Connecticut. Beach Avenue’s song was super catchy, and sent Twitter fans into a frenzy over their great music and potential.

4. A Wounded Warrior Impresses the Judges With His Song

Sal Gonzales joined the Marine Corps immediately after graduating high school, but in 2004, after spending two months in Iraq, he lost his leg in a tragic accident.

I remember I woke up a week later in Bethesda, Maryland, and I asked, When can I go back to the marines?

Sal sings ‘Aint No Sunshine’, and his gritty, real, honest voice makes the judges fall in love with him. They unanimously send him through to the next round, and from what Howard says, it seems like they think he’ll make it very far in this competition.

5. Kelli Glover Sings For The Judges… Again

In 2009, Kelly made it to the Vegas round of AGT before getting cut. This time, she’s back and ready to make a statement.

Kelly sings Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing and the judges gush over her talents. Howie calls her a dream, Howard calls her superb, and Kelly is thrilled.

She’s like an angel. It doesn’t even sound human.
