For Ellen DeGeneres’ birthday, her show was full of surprises, one of which was an interview with Justin Bieber. Bieber has stayed away from talk shows with all of his bad publicity, so he was a bit nervous to appear on the show. But, DeGeneres was his very first talk show interview when he was 15 years old. In fact, after his appearance on Ellen, Bieber posted his own video on his Facebook apologizing for his bad behavior in recent years. When sitting down with DeGeneres he talked about his upcoming comedy roast and stated:
I’ve done some things that might not have been the greatest. I just want to be able to, you know, just kind of own up to some of the things.
As for his apologetic Facebook video, Bieber said in the clip:
I’m not who I was pretending to be. Often we pretend to be something we’re not as a cover-up of what we’re truly feeling inside. There was a lot of feelings going on in there, just being young and growing up in this business. It’s hard. Growing up in general is hard.
