Carlos PenaVega and his wife Alexa are each competing on Dancing With the Stars for season 21 and Carlos is dancing with pro partner Witney Carson. Read on for the facts on Carson and PenaVega.
1. Carlos Is Beating His Wife
Don’t worry. Carlos is just beating his wife in scores as a competitor on the show. Alexa PenaVega is paired with Mark Ballas and has been in jeopardy on the show, while her husband has escaped the bottom. Alexa has had her high points as a contestant, but Carlos appears to have had more than his wife.
2. Witney Carson Got Engaged This Season
Witney Carson got engaged a few weeks ago to longtime love Carson Mcallister and the couple announced the news with some beautiful photos on Instagram. They’ve been off and on for four years together and have now made their love official. Perhaps some of her fellow DWTS cast members will be her bridesmaids. After all, she was a member of pro Lindsay Arnold’s bridal party.
3. They Re-Enacted Magic Mike On Dancing With the Stars
Carlos PenaVega was nervous and a bit hesitant to portray a stripper on the show, but Carson insisted it would be amazing … and it was. Even Carlos’ wife couldn’t help but drool at the sight of her sexy man ripping off his shirt and dancing to the song “Pony” by Ginuwine. Check out the hot performance in the above video.
4. Carlos Was Paired With Lindsay Arnold for the Switch-Up Week On the Show
During the switch-up week on the show, Witney Carson was paired with Nick Carter, while PenaVega ended up with Lindsay Arnold. Usually, Arnold is with Alek Skarlatos. As for Carlos’ wife Alexa, she is officially paired with Mark Ballas, but was paired with Derek Hough for the switch-up.
5. Marc Anthony Gave Carlos Salsa Advice
On DWTS this week, Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson are dancing to a song by Marc Anthony. So, of course, the two met up with Anthony and he even gave Carlos some salsa advice. Carlos told People:
Marc talked to me about my nerves and reminded me that I just have to do all the preparation before I step out on that stage and then just let everything go. If something goes wrong, who cares? I just need to be confident that I did as much as I could to prepare.
He and Marc Anthony have been friends for a few years.
