Wahlberg and Berg enjoyed working together so much that they made back-to-back movies this year to complete a trilogy of "based on a true story" movies about heroic acts. In 2013, they made the Oscar-nominated Lone Survivor, which was about a team of soldiers on a mission in Afghanistan. They also completed Patriots Day, a movie about the Boston Marathon bombing, which will begin its theatrical run on December 12 before going wife on January 13.
Like Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon is earning good reviews. It has a 79 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes so far. (David Lee/Lionsgate)
