Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Amber Rose
Maksim Chmerkovskiy retired from Dancing With the Stars after winning opposite Olympian Meryl Davis. Over the summer, Maks toured with his brother Val in their own dance show and Maks has been celebrating the impending birth of his first child with Murgatroyd. Being on tour inspired Maks to get involved with DWTS again as he explained to Us Weekly: I was on tour with my brother Val [also a DWTS pro, partnering with Olympian Laurie Hernandez] this summer. I finished, dillydallied for a while, and I was like, "I want to move a little! So, short of taking f--king salsa lessons, I might as well go do Dancing With the Stars!" My tenure on DWTS was constantly tumultuous. There was always negativity. But this tour was a very cathartic experience. It focused on life through dance, how we got here. Things that bothered me before no longer did. So, the bad boy of the ballroom is back and he's already gotten into trouble with celebrity contestant partner Amber Rose. The duo previously posted a video of one of their rehearsals on Instagram and Maks revealed this got them in trouble with production. The abilities of each contestant has been kept secret prior to the premiere and the duo didn't realize this would be an issue.
