After news broke that Kim Kardashian was robbed and tied up by five robbers at her Paris apartment early Monday, celebrities were quick to react. Model Chrissy Teigen and Late Late Show host James Corden jumped to Kardashians defense and asked Twitter users to stop making light of a dangerous situation.

Page Six reports that the robbery happened at an apartment Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, has owned in Paris for several years. The robbers, who pretended to be police officers, made off with at least $5.6 million worth of jewels and a $4.5 million ring. Two of the attackers tied Kardashian up in her bathtub.

Although some on Twitter were quick to make light of the event, some celebrities came to her defense.

“Some shit just isn’t funny. I see you trying, but it isn’t,” Teigen wrote. She also sent a series of messages about fame and celebrity.

Corden asked people to remember that she has family and friends who care about her.
