Eric Bigger is one of the final three contestants on The Bachelorette 2017 and he credits star Rachel Lindsay with his opening up emotionally on the show. Before we get into more information on Bigger, we warn that we will be revealing major spoilers about the finale and who the winner is reported to be this season. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW ANY SPOILERS, STOP READING NOW. Otherwise, let’s get into some details on who Bigger is, what he brings to the show and how far he makes it on The Bachelorette.
1. Red Flags Were Raised Because Bigger Had Never Been In Love Before
One concern that Rachel Lindsay, along with her family, has had about Bigger, is the fact that he says he has never been in love with anyone. Though Bigger has met the families of two other girls in his life, he revealed that he did not love them. Fortunately for Lindsay, Bigger tells her that he does love her. However, Lindsay wonders if Bigger knows what those feelings truly are and if he’s emotionally ready. Bigger sets her straight with his intentions, which seem genuine, and he tells Lindsay that his feelings for her are true.
2. The Winner This Season Is Not Eric Bigger
For Bigger fans out there, we are sorry to say that he reportedly gets sent home tonight, which leaves Peter Kraus and Bryan Abasolo as the final two contestants. Though Bigger’s overnight date with Lindsay seemed to be the smoothest of the three, Reality Steve reports that she sends him home. As for who the winner is this season, Reality Steve first reported that Kraus was the winner, but he later corrected himself and said Bryan Abasolo is engaged to Rachel Lindsay.
3. Rachel Lindsay Was the First Girl Bigger Had Ever Brought Home
Eric Bigger grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and overcame a lot in order to better himself and ensure a successful future. Later on, Bigger moved to Los Angeles, California and he became a personal trainer. On his hometown date, Bigger told Lindsay that he didn’t have the best environment to grow up in and that he came from humble beginnings. He also revealed that he had never brought home a girl to meet his family. So, the pressure was on for Lindsay, but she got along very well with his family, as did he with hers.
4. Bigger Said His Home Life Was Hostile
Growing up, Bigger lived in Baltimore’s Reservoir Hill neighborhood. He confessed on The Bachelorette that he had seen close friends die and family members get mixed up with drugs and crime over the years. This was one of the reasons he decided to better himself. He described his childhood as hostile and he told The Baltimore Sun that:
My mom and dad was there … but they weren’t in my life from an emotional standpoint. I took on everyone else’s burdens and emotions … it was just a very negative environment.
One thing that Bigger used as an escape when he was a kid, was basketball.
5. This Isn’t Bigger’s First Time on Television
The Bachelorette isn’t Bigger’s first appearance on national television. Through modeling and fitness, living in Los Angeles probably makes it a little easier to break into the entertainment business. And, Hollywood Life reports that, after Bigger published some e-books, he landed some national commercials and even appeared on The Kris Jenner Show.
