The world’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams are in action today at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with eight Group Stage matches that are streaming live.
The teams will compete for $450,000 in prize money, with the winning team earning $200,000 and the title as the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas Champions.
DreamHack Vegas is the second major CS:GO tournament of the year, following last month’s ELEAGUE Major in Atlanta. Danish-bred team Astralis won that LAN and are one of the 16 teams vying for the Las Vegas championship.
Among the 16 are the two ELEAGUE season champions Virtus.pro and OpTic Gaming, as well as iconic teams like Fnatic, Check Six, NIP and Na’vi.
Eight teams will advance and eight will be eliminated in the Group Stage’s double-elimination bracket (GSL format), with best-of-one opening and winners matches and best-of-three loser and decider matches.
The two top teams will advance to the playoffs, which will be a single-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches to declare the winner.
