Phil Davis

Jan. 28 show priced from $40 to $250

Tickets are on sale for the UFC’s return to Chicago next month, which is also its return to the Fox network.

Tickets for UFC on Fox: Evans vs. Davis are available for UFC Fight Club upper-tier members with ticket-buying privileges at 11 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday. Subscribers to the UFC’s official newsletter can purchase tickets on a presale starting Thursday at 11 a.m. And tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 11 a.m. Tickets are priced between $40 and $250.

UFC on Fox: Evans vs. Davis will take place Jan. 28 at the United Center in Chicago. Headlining the card will be a light heavyweight contenders fight between former champion Rashad Evans, a Chicago resident, and Phil Davis. The two were scheduled to meet at UFC 133 in August, but a Davis knee injury forced him out. The winner of that fight is expected to draw the winner of Saturday’s UFC 140 main event between champ Jon Jones and former champ Lyoto Machida.

The co-main event also has future title implications. A middleweight bout between Chael Sonnen and Mark Munoz will determine the next challenger for champion Anderson Silva, who is recovering from a shoulder injury after his August title defense against Yushin Okami. And a third fight for the Fox broadcast just added Wednesday morning will feature another pair of middleweights, Michael Bisping and Demian Maia.

UFC on Fox: Evans vs. Davis will be the promotion’s first trip to Chicago since UFC 90, which took place in October 2008 at the Allstate Arena in north suburban Rosemont. The Fox show at the United Center will be situated in Chicago’s Near West Side neighborhood, roughly two miles from the famed Michigan Avenue.

A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at the United Center, which will feature UFC president Dana White and the fighters from the main and co-main events. Heavy.com will have on-site coverage of the proceedings later today.
