The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to make a run at their first NBA title this spring, with Kevin Love playing a key role alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
And as Love and Co. make their way through the Eastern Conference playoffs, Love’s girlfriend, Cody Horn, will be cheering them on.
Here’s what you need to know about Horn and her relationship with Love:
1. Horn & Love Are Both From the West Coast
Both Horn and both from the West Coast. (Horn grew up in Los Angeles and Love was born in Santa Monica, California but grew up in Oregon.) And both have had no shortage of success.
Prior to being traded to the Cavs from the Minnesota Timberwolves last August, Love had averaged 19.2 points and 12.2 rebounds in Minnesota.
2. She Was Chan’s Love Interest in ‘Magic Mike’
In the 2012 male stripper movie, she played opposite Channing Tatum.
She told the Huffington Post how she landed the coveted role:
It is a pretty crazy story. They weren’t going to see me because they thought I was too young, but my agent, Jason, fought for me to go in. Carmen Cuba, the casting director, agreed to meet with me, and we taped the interview. She asked me questions about my life, my dating history, things like that. We talked like girlfriends would; it was more friendly than a formal interview. I then got a call that I was to go in and audition for them, which I did. After we finished the scenes, Carmen excused the guy I was reading with and said, “this will never happen to you again for the rest of your career, but you booked the role before you came in.” I’m not sure what Steven and the producers saw in me, but I’m glad they saw something they liked!
3. Her Dad is the Chairman of Disney
Her father, Alan Horn, is the chairman of Walt Disney Studios.
In an interview with Movieline, she credits him for influencing her love of film.
“I’m lucky to have my dad in my life. He’s very brilliant, I think he’s really a smart man, and he’s a kind guy. [The way] he approaches the movie industry – although he comes from a business background, he just loves movies. And that’s the way I feel as well,” she told the site.

She told the Huffington Post, “I loved growing up here. I love that LA has everything: super-culture and some of the most beautiful nature in California.”
5. She Has Tattoos
She told Movieline:
I did get them early, like the one that’s lower on my front I got when I was 18. But the one on my side… I’ve kind of gotten one every year between 18 and 22, and I don’t regret them. There’s some placing I regret, like the one in the front, just for kids someday. But I think my body at that point in my life was like a sketch pad, and if I sketched something – even if I don’t necessarily sketch the same thing now – I sketched it then and it reminds me of that part of my life. I did them all in happy moments.
