The golf season’s majors are over, but Heavy’s partners at DraftKings are still churning out fantasy PGA contests with massive amounts of money up for grabs.

The winner takes home $100,000 and DraftKings is paying out a guaranteed $400,000 in total prize money for the Wyndham Championship in North Carolina. Second place wins $20,000 and third gets $10,000. Over 34,300 entered teams will be paid.
The buy-in is just $3 and the contest tournament gets underway on Thursday, August 20, from Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro. Your fantasy lineups must be set by 6 a.m. Eastern.
The rules are simple: With a $50,000 salary cap, pick 6 golfers you feel will play the best at Sedgefield CC. The better your selected players do on the course, the better your fantasy team does, the more money you make.

In choosing my team for the event, I went with players who are on top of their respective games, which include youngsters Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas.
The field isn’t chock full of superstars, but I did pass on Adam Scott, who is at a contest-high $10,900.
I suspect he will be part of a ton of lineups and, frankly, Scott isn’t playing all that well. Sometimes you need to go off the grid a bit to make a splash on the fantasy leaderboard. Like I said, all of my selections are playing well and scoring highly in DraftKings. And there are a few of the 6 unlikely to be owned by many fantasy teams.
