The NFL season may just have started but the Broncos and Chiefs are about to play their second game in five days. Both teams enter the game 1-0. The Broncos had a narrow win over the Ravens as the defense carried the team to victory. Peyton Manning did not throw a touchdown pass and looked out of sync throughout the game.
The Chiefs got out to an early lead against the Texans and survived Houston’s late comeback attempt to win 27-20. Alex Smith threw for 243 yards and 3 touchdowns against a good Texans defense. This game features two good defenses in a Thursday night NFL showdown.

Peyton Manning does not look right. It is unfair to react to just one game, but he struggled towards the end of last season as well as the preseason. His arm strength and accuracy appears to be a challenge. It does not help that the Broncos have a new offense with Gary Kubiak as coach.
The Chiefs looked great in Week 1. Kansas City seems to be utilizing the talent of tight end Travis Kelce more this season. Alex Smith also has a legit number one receiver in Jeremy Maclin.
With the Broncos offense struggling, the Chiefs defense will take advantage. It also helps that the game is at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs win this one and put themselves at the front of the AFC West early in the season.
