Alshon Jeffrey is on a Fantasy Milk Carton.

After grabbing five balls week one, Jeffrey has been sidelined with lower body ailments. Is it his hamstring this week, or his calf? We don’t know. All we know is that for the fourth straight week, Alshon Jeffrey will be unavailable for the Bears.

It hasn’t been an auspicious start to John Fox’s tenure in Chicago. After trading Brandon Marshall in the offseason, the Bears tried replacing him with seventh overall pick Kevin White. But a stress fracture in his shin ended his season before it ever got started. Now down Jeffrey as well, what was a strong point for the Bears is now one of their weakest positions. That means bigger roles for Martellus Bennet and Matt Forte once again today against the Chiefs.

Even when Jeffrey comes back, it won’t make much of a difference until Jay Cutler is healthy. Cutler played last week without any setbacks, but looked like a shell of himself in the Bears’ win over Oakland. Cutler was limited in practice this week, but should be ok to play against KC.
