So much for what was becoming an increasingly compelling NFC rivalry.
The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions were two of the conference’s best teams last year, but while Green Bay (6-2) has continued that success, Detroit (1-7) has completely fallen off the map, looking like a legitimate contender for the No. 1 overall pick in 2016.
Nevertheless, despite the sudden difference in skill level–Green Bay is favored by 11 in this one–it’s always entertaining when these two teams meet, and there’s plenty on the line for the Packers, who have lost two straight and are suddenly tied with Minnesota atop the NFC North.
