The Falcons will face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars for their fourth and final preseason game on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. ET at the Georgia Dome.

Atlanta is coming off a poor showing in their third exhibition game against the Dolphins. Typically, NFL starters don’t play in the final preseason game, but Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said some of his starters will take the field on Thursday.

Quinn noted that running backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman will play, as well as pass rusher Vic Beasley. Quinn said quarterback Matt Ryan would “not get many” snaps if he takes the field at all.

The Jaguars’ starters will also play sparingly, with some not playing. Jacksonville head coach Gus Bradley indicated third-team quarterback Brandon Allen will get the majority of snaps, and could play the entire game.

Jacksonville picked up their first win of the preseason last week with a 26-21 win over the Bengals. The Jaguars produced 90 yards and five first downs in the first-half. Overall, it was not the performance the first-team unit wanted in their dress-rehearsal for the regular season.
