All of your wedding decor (centerpieces, escort carts, guest book, linens, your cake, your dress, etc.) should be cohesive. While they don’t need to match exactly (I actually try to avoid too much of that), they should all compliment each other in some way. Just like the interior decor in your home, your reception space is a room that reflects you.
It can be hard to visualize each component separately, especially when each element is being selected from a different vendor. A digital or paper mood board is a great way to see everything together before the big day and something I highly recommend. Whether you assemble it on Pinterest, or find an actual bulletin board where you can assemble pictures of all of your wedding decisions, it helps tremendously along the way.
Table numbers are a small part of the picture, but you’ll want to keep a few things in mind when you’re selecting them.
Consider the overall layout of the table. Is there room for something large or does it need to be small to fit among the place settings, glassware, and centerpieces? You’ll also want to make sure you don’t go too small or they’ll lose their value of helping guests find their tables. Consider the color. If you have a lot of color throughout your floral and linens, perhaps you keep the table number more neutral. Metallics are a great way to add some flare without using another various color. Paper table numbers are a great way to save money, and we’ve included a few paper versions on this list. However, you’ll want to keep in mind that paper table numbers often need to be supported by some type of stand or frame and don’t hold up well to the elements, especially wind. This is something to keep in mind if you’re getting married outside. If that’s the case, choose something a bit more sturdy like wood, or an option that can be held in place with something heavy.
With these tips in mind, here are 10 great table numbers, suitable for almost any wedding. If you want to keep browsing various table number options, check them out here.
