POWERBALL JACKPOT AMOUNT: $136 Million
Since the winning numbers for the huge billion-dollar jackpot were drawn on January 13, there hasn’t been a jackpot winner in any Powerball drawing. This means that the jackpot has been growing steadily every Wednesday and Saturday. It’s now estimated to be $136 million, which would be $87.8 million in cash if there was one jackpot winner and they chose the lump sum (before taxes.) The drawing is tonight, February 6.
During the last drawing, on Wednesday, there was one $2 million winner and one $1 Million winner. In total, there were 681,689 winners ranging from $4 up to $2 million. Be sure and doublecheck your tickets, because winning tickets go unclaimed every year. To learn more about how long the deadline is for claiming a win, please see this story.
