The week after the Thanksgiving holiday is usually a slow one at the box office, and this year was no different. Disney‘s Moana easily held on to the top spot, while Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them kept chugging along into its third weekend. The only new wide release of the weekend, the horror film Incarnate, flopped without making a sound.

Moana held on remarkably well. The film grossed $55.5 million last weekend and held on to half that. In its second weekend, the well-reviewed animated film made $28.37 million. Its worldwide total has climbed to $177 million so far.

Fantastic Beasts came in second with $18.5 million, dropping just 59 percent from its second weekend. It’s the 10th biggest movie of the year worldwide already, with $424.4 million.

Another big story of the weekend is just how well Denis Villenuve’s sci-fi film Arrival with Amy Adams has continued to do. The movie made another $7.3 million this weekend, edging out the Brad Pitt-starrer Allied for third place. Arrival has made $73 million already.

The flop of the week was Incarnate, a PG-13 horror movie with Aaron Eckhart. It couldn’t even make back its $5 million budget, only grossing $2.6 million in its opening weekend.

On the specialty side, Manchester By The Sea earned $2.6 million, despite playing in just 156 theaters. Jackie, which stars Natalie Portman as Jackie Kennedy, grossed $275,000 from three theaters in New York and two in Los Angeles.
