Dustin Johnson will not be playing at the 2017 Masters. Johnson was forced to withdraw after suffering an injury falling down the stairs of his Augusta rental home on the eve of golf’s biggest tournament.

Johnson entered the tournament as the favorite to put on the green jacket given his recent hot streak. Johnson has three PGA Tour victories this year and five top 10 finishes. Johnson has earned $5,346,600

Here’s a look at the statement Johnson released after the injury:

While Johnson had planned on attempting to try to play on the first day of the Masters, the PGA Tour announced Johnson had withdrawn right before his scheduled tee time. ESPN’s Jason Sobel reported Johnson walked off the first tee towards the clubhouse before getting started.
