This Boy Scout Magazine May Have Revealed Nintendo’s E3 Plans

E3 is coming up on us fast, only a few more weeks to go, and then we’ll have a lot more answers to our gaming-related questions. One big question for many Switch owners is the upcoming games. We have ARMS coming out next month and then it’s pretty dark until Super Mario Odyssey.

There has been a screenshot of a Boy Scout magazine making its rounds on the web the past few days and it looks like it may have shown Nintendo’s hand regarding E3.

The magazine article talks about all the consoles but the last paragraph focuses on Nintendo specifically.

Since Nintendo already launched its Switch console and the epic Zelda: Breath of the Wild earlier this year, what’s left to announce? Updates on cool Switch games like Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Animal Crossing and even a new Pikmin title.

We know about the majority of these games but Nintendo hasn’t really mentioned an Animal Crossing or Pikmin title for the Nintendo Switch. We know Nintendo is working on an Animal Crossing mobile game and a Pikmin title for the Nintendo 3DS but this article specifically mentions Nintendo Switch games. It would make sense for those two game series to appear on the Switch since both started out as home console titles before heading to the mobile market.

We did head to the website from the screenshot and it looks pretty much what you’d expect a video game site geared to young kids would look like.

We won’t have to wait long to prove if this rumor is true or not since E3 is next month. It would be unfortunate to have news leaked in a Boy Scout magazine of all places.

Nintendo’s E3 conference will be held at 12 p.m. ET on June 13 and will feature a playable version of Super Mario Odyssey. The event will have both a Nintendo Spotlight and a Nintendo Treehouse event which will show off Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS gameplay. The Treehouse event promises to show us in-depth gameplay of Nintendo Switch and 3DS games launching this year.

There was a report that a Zelda mobile game was in the works so that could potentially be revealed at E3.
