Thick fog and heavy holiday traffic spelled disaster in Texas this morning as 150 cars collided — leaving two victims dead and 100 injured.
Three separate pile-ups affected both directions of traffic on Interstate 10 in southeast Texas.

All hell broke loose around 8 a.m. Local sheriff’s deputy Rod Carroll told the L.A. Times he blames fog and speed:
Driving out there, I couldn’t see 10 feet in front of my car. I still had people trying to pass me and I had headlights and sirens on.

Two people were killed by when a big rig flattened their vehicle, reports the Beaumont Enterprise:
A male and a female from Pearland died after their in a 2007 Chevrolet SUV was struck by an 18-wheeler on the eastbound lanes near mile marker 833.
