It’s been nearly five months to the day since Irish fighting superstar Conor McGregor broke his leg inside the UFC’s Octagon, and now he looks more muscular than ever.

“Notorious” shattered his left leg during the first round of his trilogy match with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 on July 10, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He received surgery on his tibia and fibula the next day, and the former two-division UFC champ has been rehabilitating it ever since. And he clearly hasn’t missed too many upper body workouts. According to a recent tweet from McGregor, he weighs 85 kg, which is around 190 lbs.

Then, McGregor shared several pictures of his physique on December 2, 2021. “Been hit with a few shells but I don’t walk with a limp,” McGregor wrote in the Instagram post, tagging TIDL Sport. See below four of the pictures Notorious shared:

McGregor Recently Held an ‘Ask Notorious’ Question Period on Twitter

Notorious will sometimes take to Twitter to field fan questions, utilizing the hashtag “Ask Notorious.” On November 27, 2021, he did just that, answering several questions.

McGregor share that his fibula is “fully healed” and that the tibia is coming along “nicely.”

“The fibula is fully healed,” McGregor tweeted. “The medial side of the tibia is developing nice callous also. It is just patience now for it to form down through the bone to the lateral side of the tibia where the larger break occurred. It’s getting there. Patience will win this race for me!”

“What do you genuinely think of Michael Chandler?” One fan asked.

“Hard not to be impressed,” Notorious answered. “In a game of inches he has been incredibly close each time! Could well be today’s champion.”

McGregor Plans to Be Sparring By April 2022

According to the Irishman, he plans to be back sparring with the full use of his left leg by April 2022. “I will be full mixed martial arts sparring by April,” McGregor wrote. “Easily! By then a return will be imminent. But I must be patient. I will beat this!”

Notorious also tweeted that he has two fights left on his UFC contract.

“2 fights left on my contract, I will round out the entire top ten,” he tweeted. “Can’t wait to get back sparring for my comeback!”

He also revealed that once he’s able to spar, he’ll look to get “straight back” into the cage.

Notorious has a professional MMA record of 22-6, with 19 wins coming way by KO/TKO. He’s 1-3 in his last four UFC matches, defeating Donald Cerrone, and losing to Dustin Poirier twice, as well as Khabib Nurmagomedov.
