1. Browne’s Son Chris Broke the News
According to TMZ:
Sylvia passed away this morning in San Jose, surrounded by family and friends. She was 77.
Sylvia’s website has actually talked about the psychic’s declining health. When you attempt to purchase certain books she’s written, there is a message that states:
Due to health reasons with Sylvia, please expect a longer delay in receiving your books if you are requesting an autographed or personalized book.
Browne’s website posted this statement about her passing:
Sylvia graduated today. She was surrounded by family and friends. What a legacy. She shared so much. We will carry on her knowledge with hypnosis and Journey of the Soul and her many books. What a great party they must be having on the Other Side. Bless everyone.
Mercury News reports:
Browne is survived by her husband, Michael Ulery, sons Christopher and Paul Dufresne, three grandchildren, Angelia, Jeffrey, and William; and her sister Sharon Bortolussi, according to her Website. A private memorial service is to be scheduled.
2. Sylvia Was a World Famous Psychic

3. Browne Caught a Lot of Heat for Being Wrong About Amanda Berry
Browne was widely ridiculed after kidnapping victim Amanda Berry was found alive earlier this year, because back in 2003 when Berry went missing, the psychic told the world that the girl was dead.
In explaining her mistake, Browne said “Only God is right all the time.”
She similarly botched the reading in another high-profile case, erroneously telling the parents of Shawn Hornbeck their son was dead.
4. Sylvia Browne Appeared Many Times on the Montel Williams Show
