Grammys 2014: Beatles Win Lifetime Achievement Award at Special Merit Awards

Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono were happy to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award for the 2014 Grammys’ Special Merit Awards. They weren’t the only ones collecting the award that night though. Along with The Beatles, Clifton Chenier, The Isley Brothers, Kraftwerk, Kris Kristofferson, Maud Powell, and Armando Manzanero each received the award as well.

In addition to the Lifetime Achievement Award, the Trustees Award and Technical Grammy Award were given out to well-deserving recipients. The Trustees Award was given to Rick Hall, Jim Marshall, and Ennio Morricone. The Technical Grammy Award was given out to Emile Berliner and Lexicon.
