Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are gone this season, while Usher and Shakira have returned to the show. Apparently, though, Cee Lo Green is gone for good. The Washington Post has written:
While Green was never part of fellow coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton’s bromance storyline, or someone who started feuds with Aguilera, he was the wise, calming force of the panel that added up to some great chemistry and lots of viewers.
You can actually watch Cee Lo Green talk about the news in this video clip below:
2. The Show Opens With Blake Shelton Singing a Shakira Song
The new season of The Voice started off with Blake Shelton singing “Wherever, Whenever” before Shakira joined him on stage to chime in. After a short duet, Shakira busted out some country with Shelton at her side. Then, Usher appeared on stage singing a Maroon 5 song before Adam Levine joined him and the other judges. Finally, Adam Levine sang a verse of Usher’s song “Without You” as Shakira tried some sexy moves next to him.
So crazy… @usher sings "Love Somebody" better than I do… #weird

It was a great way to kick things off.
3. And The Bromance Continues …
OMG you guys! I can't wait to see @adamlevine on the voice tonight!!!! #VoiceTakeover
— Blake Shelton (@blakeshelton) February 25, 2014
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have always shared some brotherly love in past seasons. This season is no different. Check out some of the “bromantic” tweets going on:

4. Blind Auditions Begin With a YouTube Sensation
The first of the blind auditions was Christina Grimmie from New Jersey. She talks about all the videos she posts on YouTube, which has helped her develop over 2 million subscribers to her YouTube channel. Grimmie uses Miley Cyrus’ song “Wrecking Ball” to open the show and three of the four judges spun around in their seats within seconds of her singing. Usher was so excited he jumped out of his seat … Finally, Blake Shelton couldn’t resist. He had to hit his button and spin around to see the girl with the amazing voice.
.@TheRealGrimmie comes into Season 6 like a “Wrecking Ball” with a performance that would make @mileycyrus proud! #VoicePremiere

With all four judges to choose from, Grimmie picked Adam Levine to be her mentor.

5. Carson Daly Goes On The Road To Meet Contestants
Are you as excited as we are to be hearing “Bennie and The Jets” by @eltonjohndotcom on the #VoicePremiere right now?
— The Voice (@NBCTheVoice) February 25, 2014
This year, host Carson Daly visits some of the contestants before their blind auditions on the show. First, Daly visits a guy named T.J. Wilkins and his family. T.J. had it a little rough growing up, but has overcome and stuns on stage in a bright blue blazer. Wilkins decides to sing “Bennie and the Jets,” which makes all three of the guy judges spin around quite soon in the performance.
Wilkins ended up choosing Usher as his mentor.
