Alison Brie Schermerhorn, or as we know her, Alison Brie, is appreciated for being a down-to-earth actress with the right amount of Hollywood glamour.
She’s earned both comedic and dramatic roles on television and film. You may have seen her in everything from The Five-Engagement to Community to Mad Men.
Here’s all you need to know about the 31-year-old actress.
1. She’s Dating Dave Franco
She’s been with Franco for two years, but they keep their relationship under the radar.
The couple made this above video, “Dream Girl,” for Funny or Die.
The actress posted this backstage picture from Of Mice and Men, which James, his brother, is starring in on Broadway. In the shot, she is posed next to Dave, and they are surrounded by Neighbors cast members including Zac Efron, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Seth Rogen and his wife, Lauren Miller.

2. She Has Lots of Sexy GIFs
In fact, Complex honored them with this gallery.
The actress was also named 49 on Maxim’s Hot 100 List in 2011.
In the feature, it said, “With her tight sweaters and short skirts, Community’s resident princess is cuter than a basketful of kittens cuddling with a baby penguin.”
Ask Men also voted her number 2 on a list of the 99 Most Desirable Women.
The magazine explained their choice like so:
It has to do with a rare-in-Hollywood combination of her smoldering good looks, comedic goofiness, and down-to-earth attitude.
3. She Was a Drama Nerd in High School
On Community, she plays Annie Edison, a community college student who was unpopular in high school.
The actress, who is now looked upon as sexy, admits to being on the nerdier side in high school.
She said, “I was fairly nerdy in high school—not that bad. I had drama friends! I was a drama nerd. Someone recently said to me, “You must have been exactly like your character in high school—really type-A,” and I wasn’t. I was somewhere in between.”
She served as the president of her drama club, which prepared her to take on Hollywood.
I was kind of nerdy and by senior year was President of the Drama Club, and because I was in drama, I had to have good grades so I could do the plays. And because of drama, I really liked high school!
4. She Does an Impressive Elmo Voice
In The Five-Year Engagement, she plays Emily Blunt’s sister. In this clip from the rom-com, she does a spot-on impression of the lovable Sesame Street character.
She told The Hollywood Reporter about what director Nick Stoller thought of her talent:
The truth is for all the work that I put into this British accent, Nick Stoller has confirmed that the Elmo voice got me this job. I’d quickly watched a couple of YouTube videos about Elmo just to prep, and after the table read, Nick runs up and he was just like, ‘Gosh, have you always been able to do that Elmo voice?!’
5. She’s in a Girlie Band
She part of a band, aptly named The Girls, with Julianna Guill and Cyrina Fiallo.
The trio performed in New York City but have still to get a record deal. Their first gig was at Le Poisson Rouge, opening for bluegrass band Jones Street Station.
In the video above, they perform Childish Gambino’s “These Girls.”
