The comic book world has been keeping close tabs on the development, production and actor/actress casting for Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. We’ve already seen the film’s physical interpretation of Batman, but now we finally get to see Superman’s starring role in a cool new image.
Does this behind-the-scenes image allude to Superman finally arriving in Gotham City? Check it out and see for yourself:
Zack Snyder, the movie’s director, spoke with USA Today and released some comments regarding Henry Cavill’s continued role as Superman. He also talked about his decision to feature Batman in this sequel to Man of Steel and the immense scale of this film:
We’ve both created this guy and we can push him around a little bit. The more time I spend with Henry, the more he’s Superman to me. I was in no rush to put Batman in the movie, but on the other hand it seemed organic the way our story was unfolding to start to feather him in. It’s cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys. You can talk all you want about other superhero movies, but it’s Batman and Superman, let’s just be honest. I don’t know how you get bigger than that.
To keep count all the actors and their superhero and super villain roles in the film, we’ve listed them all below:
• Henry Cavill – Superman
• Ben Affleck – Batman
• Gal Gadot – Wonder Woman
• Jesse Eisenberg – Lex Luthor
• Ray Fisher – Cyborg
• Jason Momoa – Aquaman (not confirmed as of yet)
• Victor Zsasz (actor unknown as of press writing)
• Morgan Edge (actor unknown as of press writing)
• David Cain (actor unknown as of press writing)
• Amanda Waller (actress unknown as of press writing)
Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice will officially land in theaters on May 6, 2016. You might want to keep an eye on what’s going to transpire at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con since there might be some new reveals about the film.
