Cash Warren and Jessica Alba seem to have it all, a strong marriage, kids, and successful careers.
Alba told Parade the key to their happy marriage, saying, “You know, I think we have an incredible amount of respect for each other and we value each other’s opinion and time, and I feel like we’re in it together, we’re not petty with each other, and we communicate a lot.”
As we celebrate the release of her new movie, Sin City 2, let’s learn more about the love of her life.
1. He Met Jess on the ‘Fantastic Four’ Set
The two met in 2004 on set, where Warren was a production assistant.
They were immediately smitten with each other, and got engaged three years later.
Alba told Cosmopolitan about their initial meeting,
“It was kind of a love-at-first-sight thing, but I met him when I was dating someone else, so it started off as a friendship. I was actually attracted to his spirit and mind before it went to a physical place.”
She continued to gush to the magazine, saying:
The first week that we kind of got together, he gave me a note and signed it with a dollar sign, because his name is Cash. It just said “I really, really like you.” And that was exactly how I felt at the time. Really, really liking him too much…I was already in love with him. And I hated it because it was terrifying
that I cared about him so much right away and I already wanted him to be around forever.
2. He Went to Yale
According to his Linkedin page, he graduated in 2001 with a degree in political science.
In 2011, Warren and Alba headed back to campus for his 10-year reunion from the Ivy League university.
3. He’s a Producer
He serves as the President and co-owner of Verso Entertainment.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, he explained the venture as one that “creates, develops, producers, packages, and finances content for all platforms, whether that’s film, TV or digital.”
“We tell stories that appeal to young demographics while still having enough substance and credibility to entertain adults,” he added.
He’s also a co-founder of Apoko, which, according to their site, “helps celebrities understand their fans, engage them more directly, and discover new opportunities — all through the power of Social Media.”
Another site he helped found is ibeatyou.com, the largest athlete-owned social engagement platform.
4. He Has 2 Daughters with Jess
Honor was born in June of 2008, just two weeks after they married. Their second daughter, Haven, was born in 2011.
He talked to the Huffington Post about fatherhood:
The best kept secret is how hard it is; especially the first four months when you’re waking up every 30 minutes to crying and don’t know how to stop it. When this person is born you feel such extreme love, feelings that just the day before you didn’t know existed. Then all of a sudden they become independent and don’t reciprocate that same level of affection, they just want to do their own thing. If that happened in any other relationship you’d break it off, but with your child no matter how much they push you away, you still keep giving and giving.
5. He’s Biracial
His father, actor Michael Warren, is African-American actor and his mother,
He told the Huffington Post that being biracial is not an issue for him.
“Growing up in L.A. and France, it wasn’t much of an issue. I’ve always felt very comfortable in who I am — being part black and part white,” he said.
