May’s new movies on DVD included Selma, American Sniper and Hot Tub Time Machine 2, and there are even more great upcoming DVD releases coming next month as well. June’s DVD release calendar has just a few good movies lined up to be released on DVD/Blu-Ray, but there’s enough to keep you and your family busy, at least. All of the movies coming to DVD in June are action-packed, too, so you won’t be bored.
So without further ado, here are the top 5 best new movies coming to DVD and Blu-Ray in June 2015:
1. Furious 7
Rated: PG-13
Release Date: June 30, 2015
Starring: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson
IMDB Rating: 7.8/10
Somehow, the Fast & Furious movies keep getting made, over…and over…and over again. Still, they continue to be major box office hits (which is why they keep making them). Furious 7 was no exception, raking in over $147M in its opening weekend alone. With this being Paul Walker’s last Furious movie, and this being James Wan’s first non horror or sci-fi movie, Furious 7 is a special movie to many. We’re seeing that the Furious 7 DVD release date is set for June 30 on Videouniverse.com, but the date isn’t listed on Amazon yet. So, we’re not too sure, but it’s coming soon.

2. Chappie
Rated: R
Release Date: June 16, 2015
Starring: Sharlto Copley, Dev Patel, Hugh Jackman
IMDB Rating: 7.2/10
Chappie was a very polarizing movie — you either loved it or you hated it. Personally, it was just how I like my Sci-Fi movies to be: action-packed. The movie is set in the near future in which crime is patrolled by a mechanized police force. One of the police robots is stolen and give new programming, allowing him to think and feel for himself. It’s from the director of District 9, and Chappie is just as thought-provoking.

3. Kingsman: The Secret Service
Rated: R
Release Date: June 9, 2015
Starring: Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Samuel L. Jackson
IMDB Rating: 8.1/10
Kingsman: The Secret Service was a surprise hit earlier this year, revolving around a spy organization that has recruited a newbie street kid into the agency, just in time to try to stop a global threat from a twisted tech genius. The movie is based on a Mark Millar comic book that is the perfect blend of drama, character development, humor and action. The movie was incredibly fun to watch, and if you buy one DVD this month, let it be Kingsman.
