According to Cedarville University, Krueger played basketball and Faris was covering the games for cable broadcast. The two married a year after Krueger graduated and she attributes her success to her husband’s support.
“He has been my biggest supporter,” she told the university. “He has encouraged me through every step of my career and provides emotional support when I am stressed or having a bad day.”
She also said that it helps to have a patient husband. “God has blessed me with a patient husband, supportive friends, and unconditional love from my family. Not a day goes by that I don’t thank Him for the people He has put in my life,” she told the university.
2. The Family Attends Hillsong Church in New York Every Week
Faris and Krueger are both Christians, having attended a Christian university together. They attend Hillsong Church in New York City.
“We try to be involved, but it’s hard with such a frenetic and spontaneous schedule,” Faris told the Christian Broadcast Network. “But we’re they’re every week, faithful members. Our kids are involved in the kids’ ministry there. We’re at church every Sunday and keeping in contact with fellow believers throughout the week, just encouraging each throughout the week.”
Faris explained to CBN that she doesn’t try to force her faith on anyone else.
“People know that there is something different about me,” she told CBN. “I think most people know that I’m a Christian. I’ve had just some great opportunities to share the love of Christ with people but I think if I’m not first and foremost showing Christ’s love, it doesn’t matter if I wear a bracelet or where a T-shirt.”
3. Krueger Works at Real Estate Firm Marcus & Millichap
Krueger is currently a regional manager for real estate firm Marcus & Millichap for Manhattan and Westchester, New York. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has been at the firm since 2012, rising firm investment sales associate to sales manager.
While Faris was in Chicago, where she worked for WMAQ-TV, Krueger was a licensed realtor for Koenig & Strey Real Living.
After graduated with a degree in Education from Cedarville, Krueger earned a Master’s degree in Administration from Central State University.
4. Faris & Her Husband Live in Westchester County
Faris and Krueger live in Westchester County, just outside of New York City. In an interview with Closer Weekly, she said she really wanted to give her children a backyard.
“When I got pregnant with my third child, I realized I couldn’t stand living in NYC anymore,” she told Closer. “We wanted our kids to have a less chaotic upbringing and give them a backyard.”
They live in a 1923 colonial house with four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. The home is 2,500 square feet on a 6,000 square feet lot. Since it’s close to the city, she feels like they didn’t lose any of the convenience of city life.
“A lot of things we like to do are walkable, which is great when you have a baby who loves the stroller!” she told Closer. “I can walk to grab a coffee, visit a friend or even head to the beach, which we love. I’m also near the airports, and I never know if I’m going to have to jump on a plane at a moment’s notice!”
5. Krueger & Faris Have Three Children – Caroline Grace, J.J. and Landon
Krueger and Faris have three children, who are all under the age of 10. Caroline Grace turns 10 this year, while JJ is seven. Landon was born on January 7, 2014.
Shortly after returning from maternity leave after Landon’s birth, Faris did a Nightline story on the “Fit Mom” movement. She flew to Kansas City, Missouri to join other moms trying to stay fit just after giving birth.
“Over the course of the next 24 hours, we had honest conversations. Was ‘Fit Mom’ resented by the others? Were the other moms, who preach tolerance, being intolerant of ‘Fit Mom?'” Faris wrote. “In between all of this: diaper changes, screaming kids, a stray dog pick-up and planking. I’m not kidding.”
