Tonight, La La Anthony and Anthony Anderson will be hosting VH1’s Dear Mama: An Event To Honor Moms. The evening will honor mothers across the country, and will feature a lineup of A-list celebrities, taking the stage to thank the women who brought them into this world. The special was taped on Sunday and will air this evening.
Dear Mama was filmed at the Huntington Library, Art Collection and Botanical Gardens grounds in San Marina, California, on Saturday, May 6. It will include an array of performances, too– Gladys Knight will be performing a rendition of her hit single, “Midnight Train to Georgia”, while Robin Thicke will sing a tribute to his mom, Gloria Loring.
According to cafe mom, DJ Khaled will steal tonight’s show with his heartfelt dedication to his fiancee, Nicole Tuck. The outlet reports that on Sunday, Khaled began his tribute with a video (produced by VH1) that allows audiences to see what their home life is like, and features the couple’s adorable 6 month old son, Asahd. During his presentation, Khaled says, “I want to praise and honor my queen. There’s no words that can explain how much I love you. When Asahd came in my life … I didn’t even understand the word ‘love’ when I said that, that love can be even stronger when I see you.”
