Tonight, Alec Baldwin will be roasted on Spike TVs ‘One Night Only’ comedy event, and many of his family members will be joining in on the fun.
Two of Alec’s brothers, William (Billy) and Daniel, will be sharing their best one-liners and memories about their extremely successful brother. Here’s what you need to know about them.
1. Billy Has Acted in ‘Parenthood’ and ‘Gossip Girl’
William is an actor with an extensive resume. He’s performed in The Squid and the Whale, played himself in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, and recently played lead detective Brian Albert in The Craigslist Killer.
He played William van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl until 2012, and Gordon Flint on Parenthood.
During tonight’s roast, Billy joked that he had four concussions before age 8– all of them were Alec’s fault.
2. Daniel Is Known for Playing Detective Beau Felton in ‘Homicide: Life on the Street’
Daniel is an actor, director, and producer. He’s known for playing Detective Beau Felton in NBC’s Homicide: Life on the Street, and has also held starring roles in Ned Blessing: The True Story of My Life, Mulholland Falls, Vampires, The Pandora Project, and Stealing Candy.
In 1988, Daniel made his acting debut in Too Good to be True, followed by roles in Born of the Fourth of July, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, and Hero.
3. Daniel Recently Committed to Helping Families Struggling With Addiction
In June, Syracuse.com reported that Daniel moved to Central New York to help families struggling with addiction.
Daniel, himself, is a former cocaine addict. Back in 2007, in an interview with Primetime, Daniel said, “I’m a straight-up cocaine addict. I don’t really drink very much, although I have abused alcohol in the past. And I don’t use any other drugs. I don’t take pills. I don’t do anything. I’m a … diehard coke head.”
Daniel was first arrested in 1998 for possession of cocaine. In 2006, a warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to appear in court in Los Angeles. He was reportedly meant to appear in court to give an update on his drug rehabilitation– the year prior, he was arrested on two misdemeanor drugs charges after being found in a Santa Monica hotel with drug and cocaine paraphernalia.
Daniel was also a member of VH1’s reality television show, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
4. The Baldwin Brothers Have Made Headlines for Their Contrasting Opinions on Donald Trump
The brothers all have very different opinions on President Donald Trump.
While Stephen supported President Trump in the election, Alec and Billy did not.
Speaking to FOX Business before the election, Stephen said, “If Alec and Billy don’t see the corruption or if they’re willing to look the other way like so many other people, that’s on them.”
In a Tweet, Stephen said, “If my father were alive today (a veteran) He would be ashamed & disgusted of media biased & manipulation by people like @andersoncooper.” Billy fired back, “@StephenBaldwin7 @andersoncooper If our father were alive today… he’d smack you in the side of the head for supporting Donald Trump.”
Later on, Stephen said of Alec’s impersonation of Donald Trump, “Well [Alec’s] got the voice down very well. I think it’s getting a little too nasty right now… I don’t want to be a party pooper here, but I don’t think it’s very funny. I don’t think there’s anything funny about this election.”
5. Stephen Baldwin Did Not Attend the Roast
The fourth brother in the family, Stephen, was missing from tonight’s roast.
The brothers opened up their roast by saying, “…our other brother Stephen couldn’t be here. He’s on guard duty at Trump tower.”
