Amal Clooney was trending on Twitter Saturday mornin after her entrance at the Royal Wedding. The 40-year-old Labanese-British lawyer stunned in a mustard yellow dress, leaving people curious about her attendance and relationship with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

1. She Wore a Yellow Stella McCartney Dress & Matching Fascinator and Netting
Amal stole the show in a Stella McCartney dress and fascinator alongside her famous husband, George Clooney. The dress and its color– marigold– was a showstopper.
Clooney matched his wife in a grey suit with a pale yellow tie and pocket square.
While Amal was clearly at the top of the list for the best-dressed at the royal wedding, other best-dressed celebrities included David Beckham, Princess Eugenie of York, and Pippa Middleton, who shone in a mint green floral dress. Kitty Spencer, Princess Diana’s niece, also looked beautiful in emerald green.
2. She and Clooney Are Friends with Meghan and Harry
Amal and George, according to the Daily Mail, were introduced to Meghan Markle by a mutual friend after she moved to England. They have not disclosed the identity of that friend.
A source recently told People, “Meghan and Amal have known each other for a while. They were … introduced by a mutual friend and have formed a friendship since Meghan moved to the U.K.”
The source added that the two share a number of interests.
3. Amal & Meghan Share a Hairdresser
Amal and Meghan share the same hairdresser, reports the Daily Mail.
Or, as The Sun puts it, Markle “borrowed Amal Clooney’s ” hairdresser, Miguel Perez, for the event.
The outlet reports that Perez is based out of John Viale’s Salon Sloane in Chelsea, London. Some of Perez’s other clients include Meghan and Millie Mackintosh, Daisy Lowe, and Myleene Klass.
4. Amal Is a Human-Rights Lawyer
Amal was born in Beirut in 1978. She is legally qualified to practice law in both the US and UK. A respected human-rights lawyer, Amal married Clooney in 2014.
Speaking about her fame with BBC last year, Amal said, “There is lots of my work that takes place behind closed doors that is not ever seen. I think if there are more people who now understand what’s happening about the Yazidis and ISIS, and if there can be some action that results from that, that can help those clients, then I think it’s a really good thing to give that case the extra publicity that it may get.”
According to a Vanity Fair article, Amal has been employed by Doughty Street Chambers in England since 2010. There, she specializes in public international law, international criminal law, and human rights.
In a 2016 interview with NBC, Amal said, “If you are a lawyer and you want to take on easier cases, you can prosecute traffic violations or something. You’d have a very high rate of success, and you probably could sleep more easily at night. But that’s not what drives me. I want to work on cases that I feel the most passionate about.”
5. They Join a Handful of Celebrities at the Wedding
Amal and George are just two of the many celebrities in attendance at the royal wedding. Most of the cast of Suits are in attendance, along with Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra, and True Blood‘s Janina Gavankar. Serena Williams also received plenty of camera time on Saturday.
Polo player Nacho Figueras and Delfina Blaquer were present at the nuptials, along with James Corden, Idris Elba, Princess Anne, and even Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas.
Oprah walked into the event after Elba, wearing a pink feathered hat and long-sleeve dress.
