The group brought tons of energy and enthusiasm to the stage, and it paid off, as the judges were uniformly impressed. All four judges give them a standing ovation, and Simon Cowell tells the Detroit Youth Choir that their performance was a step up from their first audition. It looks like the former Golden Buzzer winners have a good shot at advancing.

8:15 – The second act of the night is the dog-and-man duo Lukas & Falco. They execute several tricks, including jumping through rope, spinning around, and leaping from a large drice. Cowell said that Falco gave a better performance that Lukas tonight, but admitted that they were charming together. Gabrielle Union was impressed with their chemistry. Howie Mandel was the only judge who was unimpressed, saying that he didn’t see any new tricks and was underwhelmed.

8:30Dom Chambers keeps the positive momentum going. He performs a series a magic tricks that include pouring beer and switching his t-shirt through a screen. The performance goes over big with the judges, as Julianne Hough complimented Chambers’ “cool factor” and Cowell said that his act was “genius.”

8:40Benicio Bryant takes the stage to perform an original song in an R&B style. While he got off to a shaky start vocally, Bryant rebounded and manages to reach soaring heights towards the end of the song. Hough warned him that he took a big risk by choosing an original song that the audiences didn’t know, but she commended him for doing it. Cowell thought the song was a bit busy, and it could’ve been stripped down, but he maintains that Bryant has a promising future ahead of him.

8:50Gonzo is the next act to perform. He plays a goofy number on his instrument alongside a crew of men. When he starts to jump on a trampoline, however, Cowell decides to hit the red X to buzz him off the stage. He says there is “nothing” there, and Hough and Union mirror his sentiments. Mandel is the only one who gives positive feedback.

9:00 – Marcin Patrzalek delivers a searing guitar performance that takes the audience and the judges alike. Despite having no lyrics or additional aspect to his performance, the judges give him a standing ovation. One of the judges compared his guitar playing to Carlos Santana and says that he’s “revolutionizing” guitar playing for a new generation of listeners.

9:10Eric Chien is up next, and he performs a close up magic show using Hough as an assistant. He manages to turn candy into Rubik’s Cubes. Chien had a couple flubs in his act, and Cowell criticized his performance for being a bit boring. He also said that he felt it was inferior to his previous audition.

9:20Berywam take the stage tonight to perform a song using their beatbox talents. The judges were knocked out by the performance, and they give the Berywam a standing ovation. Hough said they improved on their earlier performance, and Cowell commended the risks they took this time around.

9:30 – Matthew Richardson did not originally advance from the Judges’ Cuts, but he was brought back as a wild card pick. Tonight he took things up a notch by caking his body in glitter and dancing on a wet bed of ice. The judges were indifferent, with Cowell saying that his problem was Richardson’s act “isn’t going any further” and that he doesn’t see any progression.

9:40Mackenzie gave a subtle, moving performance of David Bowie’s “Life on Mars?” Unfortunately, the reaction from the judges was similarly subdued, and they didn’t have much to say. Mandel wasn’t sure that people at home would be inspired to vote for Mackenzie, and Cowell said that he could possibly see the singer making it through to the next round.

9:45Jackie Fabulous is up next, and she gives an exciting stand-up about shopping and the struggle of dating men of a different race. Union pegged Fabulous as a star in the making, and Cowell complimented her on her unpredictability and said that she really stepped it up from her previous performance.
