When does Rick and Morty start, what channel is it on, and how can you watch it? ‘Rick and Morty’ Premieres Tonight

DATE: Sunday, November 10, 2019

TV CHANNEL: Rick and Morty will air premiere tonight on Adult Swim in the U.S. To find what channel Adult Swim is on for you, click here to go to TV Guide’s listings. Then change the “Provider” (right under TV Listings) to your local provider. You’ll be able to scroll down to see what channel Adult Swim (the Cartoon Network) is on in your region.

Unfortunately, in the UK it will be premiering on Channel 4, but not until sometime in January 2020. In Australia, Season 4 will air on Netflix, but the premiere date isn’t yet known.

EPISODE 1 PREMIERE TIME: Episode 1 premieres at 11:30 p.m. Eastern/10:30 p.m. Central. It premieres a little later on the West Coast at 11:30 p.m. Pacific. (Yes, that’s three hours after people on the East Coast get to see it.)

In the UK, unfortunately, you’re going to have to wait until sometime in January 2020 to see the new episodes for Season 4.

LIVE STREAM:

There are a lot of options for watching the new season live. If you don’t have cable, you can watch on Hulu LiveAT&T TV Now, and FuboTV. (AT&T TV Now and FuboTV even have free trials you can use.) For the first episode of Season 4 only, you can also watch it live on the Adult Swim app or on Adult Swim’s website here.  (Just beware, Adult Swim has been known to play tricks before with its live streams online, like the time it showed the Fishcenter live instead of a new episode that viewers were expecting. This shouldn’t happen for Episode 1 since Adult Swim is advertising watching it for free on their website, but this option likely won’t be available after tonight.)

‘Rick and Morty’ Season 4 Preview

So far, five episodes are scheduled to premiere in 2019. These are not all airing at once on November 10. Rather, one episode is being released every week at 11:30 p.m. Eastern on Sunday nights.

The trailer says that five all-new episodes will start on Sunday, November 10 at 11:30 p.m. Eastern. It then goes on to say: “half the season you deserve, all the season we could handle.”

Season 4 is supposed to be 10 episodes long, but the trailer only mentions five episodes. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in July, Justin Roiland said that Season 4 would be 10 episodes long (which would be the same length as Season 2 and Season 3.)

We now know, thanks to a new tweet from Justin Roiland, that the new season is going to be 10 episodes long for sure. Roiland wrote: “Finally. Season four premieres tonight! We have 10 episodes! First 5 start tonight! Sunday Nov 10th at 11:30 PM E/P Only on Adult Swim.”

It looks like that means five episodes, then a holiday hiatus, and then five more.

Fans can’t stop talking about the new season of Rick and Morty. The opening sequence for Rick and Morty was just released on Friday.

Don’t get too excited about thinking there are clues or spoilers in the opening sequence above. A lot of scenes in the opening sequences never actually make it into an episode. We’ve seen this in previous seasons, when there were some compelling or really funny scenes that we saw in the opening sequence that never actually happened during the season itself. Whether these were just added to the opening sequence for fun or if they were lost in the Morty’s Mind Blowers episode, we’ll never know.

After you’ve watched the premiere, come back and take our poll.

What did you think of the premiere? Vote in this poll after you’ve watched tonight’s Rick and Morty Season 4 premiere.
