Amanda Bynes Announces She’s Pregnant On Instagram

While it was widely believed that Amanda Bynes and fiancé Paul Michael had broken off their engagement, it appears they are still very much together and are now welcoming a baby into the world.

After being engaged for three weeks, Amanda previously announced he proposed on Valentine’s Day, Paul confirmed they had broken to In Touch magazine. On March, 8, when asked if they separated he said, “We did. I love her though, she’s my best friend.”

Therefore, on March 17, when Paul announced that he and Amanda were expecting, it came as a complete shock to most of her fans. Her now maybe back-on fiancé shared the news on his Instagram page with the caption “Baby in the making.” An hour later, he deleted the photo, but the baby news continued to rock the world on social media.

Amanda, 33, previously deleted all her photos on Instagram which featured Paul. That same day, Paul confirmed their break-up to In Touch. But on March 9, she posted a photo of them back together with the caption, “My Love” and a black heart emoji.

The She’s the Man star is still under conservatorship, which means she’s is not allowed to get married without her parents’ permission. A source told E! News earlier this month that “Amanda’s parents are fully aware of her engagement and at this point are not approving Amanda to legally get married under the conservatorship.”

Amanda’s conservatorship, which is controlled by her mother, Lynn Bynes, was previously extended through August 2020, according to The Blast. In 2014, Amanda suffered a public meltdown and was placed under a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold, which is when the former Nickelodeon star’s mother stepped in to take legal control.

After graduating from Fashion Institue of Design & Merchandising in June 2019, Amanda lived in a sober living house for seven months and appeared to be doing really well. In March 2020, she proudly announced that she’s been sober for a year and two months.

When Did Amanda & Paul Get Back Together?

A source confirmed to People that the couple first met in late 2019, and based on their Instagram photos, it appears they only broke up for one day. Photos of Amanda’s engagement ring are still up on Paul’s page. He captioned one photo, “My Love Always,” while in another featuring both of their rings, “My baby.” He’s disabled the comments section on his account, so there are no reactions from friends or fans on the pregnancy announcement.

Like Paul, Amanda posted then deleted the baby news on her Instagram page, and the Sydney White actress has also shut off the comments to her account. At this point, it’s hard to say whether or not the engagement is back on, but with a baby on the way, Amanda and Paul’s life will now be forever intertwined.

When Amanda first announced they were engaged, in the since-deleted Instagram post she wrote “Engaged to tha love of my life.”

In a video, she went on to say, “Hey, everyone, this is Paul, my fiancé. I’m so lucky. As you can see, he’s drop-dead gorgeous. He’s also the best person on the face of the Earth. I just want to let you know that I love you guys and I’m so happy now. I feel like I got what’s mine and that is Paul.”
