“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Heather Dubrow spoke about her complicated relationship with her castmate, Shannon Beador. During an October 2023 appearance on “Bachelor” alum Nick Viall’s podcast, “The Viall Files,” Dubrow referenced that she and Beador had issues throughout RHOC season 17, which premiered in June 2023. According to the “Dubrow Diet” author, Beador requested her help, despite having several contentious interactions throughout the show’s 17th season.
“Did you see on the [RHOC season 17] reunion when I said, ‘You texted me last week.’ It was because she needed something. So she reached out to me twice before [Beador’s] DUI [arrest], in the last month to ask for a favor, for two different things,” stated Dubrow.
The “Seven Year Stitch” host stated that Beador had reached out “for a favor” after she made negative comments about her during an August 2023 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.”
“And one of the favors was the night after she trashed me on ‘Watch What Happens Live.’ But if she calls me and she says, ‘I need help. Or can you please call me.’ I pick up the phone. That’s what I do with my friends,” continued Dubrow.
Shannon Beador Shared She Was Unhappy With Heather Dubrow’s Comments About Her Relationship With John Janssen in August 2023
In the August 2023 “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” episode, Beador explained why she was upset with Dubrow. According to the Real for Real founder, Dubrow made negative comments about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen. Beador stated that the “Dubrow Diet” author “was talking to people on and off camera” regarding her romance with Janssen.
“Planting seeds telling people things. Telling them things. Making them believe the worst. So I was irate, because I finally trusted Heather that I could confide in her and it’s really disappointing,” said the reality television star.
Dubrow denied Beador’s claim that she was “planting seeds” while speaking to Us Weekly in August 2023.
“It’s silly. And why would I do that to her?” said Dubrow.
The 54-year-old also stated that she did not speak negatively about Beador and Janssen’s relationship.
“What’s interesting is everyone is saying, ‘Heather’s saying it. Heather’s saying it.’ But I want you to pay close attention to the conversations that Emily [Simpson] has with Shannon and everyone has with each other. And you’ll see that’s not true,” said Dubrow.
The mother of four made similar comments in the October 2023 “Viall Files” podcast episode. She stated that while Beador “will disagree with this,” she believes she “was a very, very good f******* friend to Shannon.”
“I’m the only one who didn’t talk about her relationship on camera. And the notion I was running around to everyone behind cameras is b*****,” said Dubrow.
Heather Dubrow Shared She Texted Shannon Beador Following Her September 2023 Arrest on Nick Viall’s Podcast
During the “Viall Files” podcast episode, Dubrow stated that she and Beador have barely been in communication following her September 16 DUI arrest. According to TMZ, “Beador was booked for 2 misdemeanors … hit-and-run and DUI alcohol,” as reported by a Newport Beach Police Department representative. Dubrow stated when she first heard the news of Beador’s arrest, she texted the mother of three. According to Dubrow, Beador wrote back asking her not to publicly speak about the situation, as she did with all of the RHOC cast.
“And then I sent her another one back, checking in. And I got nothing, but you know what that’s okay,” said the reality television personality.
Dubrow also discussed Beador’s arrest in a September 2023 interview on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.” She stated that she had not “spoken to her” following her arrest.
“I did text her,” said the reality television star.
Dubrow also shared she was “glad no one was hurt.”
“That’s the most important thing. And you know, I hope that Shannon, you know, continues to take some space and figure out her next steps,” said Dubrow.
