8:00 Tonight’s episode kicks off with the Vesi tribe. Jesse says he is worried that Noelle will come after him because he voted out Justine last week.
The Baka tribe is worried about Gabler. They think he isn’t fit for life on the island. Elie says she wants Gabler out next. The rest of the tribe is onboard but they are worried about his idol. Elie wants to try to convince Gabler that his idol is no longer active. Sami seems annoyed that Elie thinks she’s running the game. Sami tells Gabler that Elie knows he has an idol because she was snooping through his bag. Gabler no longer trusts Elie. He wants her out next.
Elie is talking to Gabler to try to figure out if his idol is still active. Gabler lies and says it isn’t active anymore. He plans to surprise her at Tribal Council.
At the Coco tribe, the castaways are talking about idols. While the other castaways are in the water, Karla goes looking for an idol. She finds a Beware Advantage. In a confessional, she says she’s worried about the repercussions, so she decides to put it back.
8:15: Karla is talking to James about the Beware Advantage. She asks him, hypothetically speaking, what he would do if he found a Beware Advantage. (She does not tell him she found one). He says you have to take risks in the game of “Survivor.” Karla decides she wants the Beware Advantage after all. To activate the Beware Advantage, Karla has to convince all her tribemates to give her their beads. She secures most of her tribemates’ beads pretty easily but Ryan is a different story. He doesn’t want to give up his beads. Oh no. Will she lose her vote? Finally, she finds a solution. She offers him her turquoise beads in exchange for his beads. He agrees! She has her idol and her vote back. Nice Karla!
8:25: Time for an Immunity Challenge! Immunity is back up for grabs. The first tribe to finish will win a huge “Survivor” tool kit and a lot of fruit. The second tribe to finish will receive a smaller tool kit and a smaller pile of fruit. For this challenge, the castaways must jump off a high platform and swim underwater to release a buoy. After all the tribe members make it to the other platform, they can start the puzzle. The first two tribes to finish will win immunity. Vesi is in the lead. Coco is currently in last place. Baka is now in the lead! Wow, this is intense! Baka wins immunity! Okay, time for a showdown between Vesi and Coco. Coco wins immunity! One member of Vesi will be eliminated tonight at Tribal Council.
Baka gets to choose one castaway from each tribe to go on an adventure. They choose Noelle from Vesi and James from Coco. Owen offers to go on the adventure for Baka.
8:35: Back at camp, Nneka feels responsible for the Vesi tribe losing the Immunity Challenge. She says she feels like she let her tribe down. Jesse and Cody are talking about Tribal Council. Cody says either Nneka or Noelle has to go. Jesse and Cody have loyalty to Nneka but Noelle has been performing better in challenges, so it’s a hard choice.
Jesse is struggling with the thought of voting out Nneka. In a confessional, he says Nneka reminds him of his mom.
8:40: Noelle, Owen, and James arrive at the Summit. Noelle is trying to bond with Owen and James. Time for the three castaways to decide if they want to risk their vote. Owen and James decide not to risk their vote, so Noelle can risk her vote and get the advantage. Transparency…you don’t see that a lot in “Survivor.”
8:45: Noelle arrives back at camp and promises the tribe she doesn’t have an advantage. Noelle tells Dwight about her advantage. Her advantage will allow her to steal a vote at Tribal Council.
Survivor: Live Tribal Recap
8:50: Time for Tribal Council. Jeff talks to Vesi about losing the Immunity Challenge and the aftermath. Nneka says returning to camp after losing the challenge was really hard. Noelle says she has a lot to prove and wants to continue playing the game of “Survivor.” The tribe agrees that they (mostly) feel confident going to into the vote. Noelle feels less confident.
Here’s how the votes fell:
Noelle: 1 vote
Nneka: 3 votes
Nneka is the third person voted out of “Survivor 43.”
Vesi chose strength over loyalty tonight.
