Ashley Iaconetti shared a funny throwback video with fans. The “Bachelor in Paradise” star married Jared Haibon in 2019, but three years before that, she hammed it up in a selfie video and only just recently found it on her phone.
In an Instagram post shared on Instagram on October 23, 2023, Iaconetti 35, did her best Britney Spears impersonation as she held a hairbrush for a microphone, and later, a makeup brush.
Wearing jean shorts and sunglasses she said, “Oops, I did it again.” Iaconetti repeated the line multiple times in the clip. In the caption, she referenced Spears’ recent dances with knives on her Instagram page.
“Britney dancing with knives seems less weird than these videos I found of myself trying to be her,” she wrote. “Legit no idea what I was doing on May 19, 2016 as I said ‘Oops, I did it again’ into the mirror the way I would as a preteen. This week felt like the right week to post this embarrassing stuff though. Do you like the classic hairbrush mic or the spin on it with a makeup brush?”
Iaconetti also labeled the clip with, “Some weird videos I found in my phone of me impersonating Britney Spears in 2016.”
Ashley Iaconetti Responded to Fans Who Questioned One Detail in the Video
Fans had a big reaction to Iaconetti’s throwback video.
“This is absolutely ridiculous and I LOVE it,” one fan wrote.
“This is amazing,” another wrote, adding, “I think I’m most confused by way you’re doing this almost 15 years after the song came out lol.”
But others were confused by something else about the year Iaconetti shot the video. Because she recorded the video in 2016, several fans wanted to know why it appeared that Iaconetti was wearing a wedding ring in the clip. She didn’t even start dating Haibon until 2018.
“Then why do you have on wedding ring in 2016,” one fan asked. “I was thinking the same thing!!” another agreed.
When another asked, “Were you married before? Is that wedding rings?,” Iaconetti replied, “ I was probably pretending to be married too. No idea why I stacked them like that.”
“I thought about the rings too BUT I saw the phone and was like yeah that’s old 😂😂,” another fan wrote.
Iaconetti replied, “I must have been pretending to be married too.”
“I keep getting distracted by the ring on your finger, you sure this wasn’t like last week @ashley_iaconetti because that would be awesome too,” another fan cracked.
Ashley Iaconetti Loves Britney, Taylor Swift & Boy Bands
Iaconetti has always been vocal about her love for pop music. In addition to her love for Spears, she is a Taylor Swift fan. In October 2022, she posted an Instagram video of herself listening to the Taylor Swift song “Mastermind” in her car. “Listening to Taylor Swift and thinking about how my crazy a** managed to marry Jared,” she added.
“There’s a Taylor song for every situation,” she captioned the clip.
According to Bustle, Iaconetti’s 2019 bachelorette party featured a New Kids on the Block concert and meet and greet. The bride-to-be even wore a sash that read “NKOTBride.”
“Can I just say that I’m so blessed that 11 years later, New Kids on the Block are still on tour, and we have a new Jonas Brother album?” Iaconetti said at the time.
The mom of one is also a huge *NSYNC fan. Years before she married Haibon, Iaconetti had hoped to become Mrs. Jutsin Timberlake.
In 2020, Iaconetti shared an entry from her sixth grade diary in which she dreamed of marrying the superstar singer someday. “I know I will look at this and laugh at some point before marrying Justin Timberlake,” she wrote as a tween, per Bachelor Nation. “I know I will marry him, I can’t describe the feeling in words, I just know.”
