The Masked Dancer premiere continued on FOX on Wednesday, January 6, featuring the second half of season 1’s contestants. One of those Group B performers was the Moth.

Here’s what we know about the Moth so far, and who we think might be performing behind the disguise of the Moth mask:

Moth on ‘The Masked Dancer’ Clues

According to FOX, the unidentified celebrities dancing behind the mask have a number of impressive accolades on their resumés. FOX teases, “Between all of the celebrity dancers, they’ve amassed more than 38 million albums sold worldwide, 20 Emmy® Award wins, 20 Grammy® Award nominations, 10 World Dancing titles, five New York Times Best-Selling Author titles, four Olympic gold medals and three Broadway show appearances.” Which accomplishments are credited to the celebrity behind the Moth mask?!

The panelists said Moth looked graceful and “model tall” with a slight frame as she took the stage for the first time. They said she has great legs and is clearly in excellent shape. Could the celebrity behind the Moth mask be a famous model by profession?

At the start of the Moth’s first clue package of the season, she said “You know, Moths don’t seek out the spotlight. It draws us in, whether we want it or not.”

She also said she was known for “making headlines with the president.” The Moth didn’t specify which president (past or present) she has ties to, leaving the clue up to the interpretation of the panelists and audience watching at home.

Some visual clues that stood out during the video clue package included fork and knife, black cloth, Capitol building, the White House, a ladder, a tabloid magazine with the headline “Moth tells all,” and a sign that said “Box, Sweet Box.”

With her unexpected fame, she revealed that she came to the conclusion that “If I couldn’t escape the spotlight, I would use it to shine a light on the things I cared about the most.” She said, “now, I thrive in the spotlight.”

Cacti and hay bales featured heavily during her debut performance.

The Moth’s “Word Up” clue, which was delivered in her natural voice without the disguise of the voice modulator, was “inspired.”

‘The Masked Dancer’ Moth Guesses

The four celebrity panelists in charge of casting their guesses for who’s behind the Moth mask each week are Ken Jeong, Ashley Tisdale, Paula Abdul, and Brian Austin Green.

After Moth danced a country music and square-dance-inspired routine, the panelists were focused on her “amazing body.”

Tisdale guessed that it may be a reporter due to the political references – perhaps Megyn Kelley.

The clues pointing to scandal and the president made Abdul and Green guessed Monica Lewinsky. Abdul said it could also be Marla Maples.

At the end of the night, Moth escaped elimination, which means fans will have to continue to tune in to see what clues Moth brings with her next Masked Dancer performance.

New episodes of The Masked Dancer air on Wednesday nights at 8/7c on FOX.
