This morning, Square Enix and Eidos Montreal released the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided launch trailer for the next installment of their popular sci-fi action RPG series.
The new game is set in the year 2029, following the infamous Aug Incident that caused the death of millions. The mechanically augmented population now lives in oppression, at odds with the rest of humanity. In the midst of the chaos, Adam Jensen steps in to take on the Illuminati, the group responsible for tearing the world apart. He has an arsenal of new weapons and augmentations at his disposal, and he must decide not only how to best use them but also who he can trust in order to unravel the worldwide conspiracy.
Deux Ex: Mankind Divided is scheduled to launch on August 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Given that Square Enix recently delayed the release of Final Fantasy XV to November, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided may get some more attention now, and rightfully so – it’s a great alternative to keep fans occupied in the meantime.
