Xur has arrived in the world of Destiny once more and this time he can be found roaming about the Tower. Once you spawn at the Tower, you will want to head over to the hanger located on your right just up the staircase and down the long hallway. Once you enter the next area, turn right and Xur will be hanging at the end of a small catwalk probably surrounded by potential customers. This week Xur has brought a mixed bag of exotics that include the Eternal Warrior, Knucklehead Radar, Obsidian Mind, and The Last Word. Along with this he is also selling a Legacy Heavy Weapons engram and his usual assortment of ammo synths, Three of Coins, and various Plasma Drives for your Sparrow.
Eternal Warrior:
- Roll: Intellect/Discipline
- Armor: Helmet
- Cost: 13 Strange Coins
- Unique Perk: Gain Unstoppable for Fists of Havoc
The Eternal Warrior is an okay Exotic that will really only cater to those who play a lot of the Striker Titan subclass. Despite offering a perk for free, there are far better choices such as The Armamentarium and Twilight Garrison. Even if you are planning to use the Eternal Warrior only for PvE, you might want to consider the Helm of Inmost Light since the Recklessness perk it offers is far better.
Knucklehead Radar:
- Roll: Intellect/Strength
- Armor: Helmet
- Cost: 13 Strange Coins
- Unique Perk: Your radar will remain active when aiming with Primary Weapons.
Okay, realistically this exotic is going to be completely obsolete once Rise of Iron releases thanks to the artifact that will grant the exact same perk. However, if you are looking for an exotic to take into the Crucible this isn’t a terrible choice as the ability to always have your radar up can be invaluable. Yet, if you already have exotics like the Bones of Eao or Graviton Forfeit than just pass on picking this one up.
Obsidian Mind:
- Roll: Intellect/Discipline
- Armor: Helmet
- Cost: 13 Strange Coins
- Unique Perk: Nova Bomb kills reduce the cooldown of the next Nova Bomb
Voidwalkers rejoice! Once again Xur is selling perhaps one of the best class specific exotics in all of Destiny, especially if you are a Warlock player. The Obsidian Mind is a powerful exotic that can virtually reset your Nova Bomb if you time it right and kill a lot of enemies. This is an exotic that is great for both PvP and PvE, however it’s far more effective if used during strikes and raids.
The Last Word:
- Primary Weapon: Hand Cannon
- Cost: 23 Strange Coins
- Unique Perk: Improved stability and target acquisition when firing from the hip.
It’s been a long time since Xur sold this famous hand cannon, so make sure to pick this one up if you haven’t been fortunate enough to have it drop. The Last Word is one of the best Handcannons for PvP and in the right hands can wreak some serious havoc. Even though it may take some time to adjust to this weapons unique playstyle, The Last Word is capable of dropping any Guardian that gets close to you. Make sure to pick this one up, because there is no telling how long it will be until Xur sells this exotic again.
While Xur didn’t bring a jaw-dropping selection like last week, there are still some exotics that might be worth picking up if you are a Warlock or Hand Cannon fan. However, for all you Titan and Hunter players just hold onto your Strange Coins for next week or just buy some Three of Coins packs. Make sure to check back next week to see what Xur has brought to The Tower.
