Bethesda’s Press Conference E3 2017: All the Games Revealed

Given that many of these announcements were simply videos, we will only go into detail about some of the biggest announcements. Bethesda also confirmed that every game that was revealed this evening will release in 2017, regardless of what it is. Here are all the games that appeared during Bethesda’s 2017 E3 press conference:

DOOM VFR

Fallout 4 VR

Fallout 4 VR is certainly going to be one of the most ambitious titles to make use of this new hardware. Having the entire game available in VR is certainly going to add a new dynamic to this highly praised action-RPG.

Creation Club

While not technically a game, the new Creation Club is aiming to expand and refine the modding scene for Bethesda titles like Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Shown in a brief trailer, it appears that this system works off an in-game currency used to purchase different mods. However, it was very unclear how users can go about obtaining these credits or to what extent they will play in this new system.

The Elder Scrolls Legends

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Switch)

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

For those looking to return to the world of Dishonored, a new stand-alone adventure titled Death of the Outsider is aiming to release this September. In this expansion, players take control of the boat captain and former assassin Billie Lurk who’s on a quest to kill the mysterious Outsider. This mystical being is best known for gifting Corvo and Emily with their powers, while remaining amused by the entire game’s events. During the video, it’s clear that Billie has a different set of equipment and is blessed with some of the Outsider’s gifts like Blink. Currently, there is no new information how long this stand-alone title will be or if your gameplay from Dishonored 2 will impact the story.

Quake Champions

The Evil Within 2

The first of Bethesda’s two big reveals tonight, The Evil Within 2 places players in the shoes of series protagonist Sebastian once more. Tasked with saving your daughter, players will need to fight through the nightmares and horrifying monsters once more. The trailer for this title was mainly cinematic, as the brief gameplay we saw at the end didn’t offer much information. It’s clear the game is aiming for the intense, frantic combat the original title did so well. However, one has to wonder if those obnoxious black bars at the top and bottom of the game have been removed.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

One of the biggest reveals came in the form of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, which had a rather lengthy trailer. In this video, we get a chance to catch up with protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz who is currently being hunted by the Nazi’s. While the campy intro was amusing, some of the new gameplay features really look intriguing and chaotic. Being able to ride a fire-breathing, giant mechanical dog will surely be a standout moment, along with fighting a giant mini-gun wielding Nazi robot. Graphically this title looks fantastic and we are curious if it will support 4K on the PlayStation Pro and Xbox One X. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is set to release October 27, 2017.
