Destiny 2 is one of the biggest games releasing this year thanks to the dedicated following and rock solid gameplay that helped define the original title. Now only a few months away, players will be able to experience this new adventure on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and for the first time PC. If you are planning to play this title on consoles then you’ll only have to wait until September 6 so sink your teeth into it, while PC users have to wait until October 24 to play.
While this may seem like a bummer, one has to remember that the PC version of Destiny 2 will be running through developer Blizzard’s Battle.net. This service is perhaps one of the most consistent online services for PC gaming, however, it’s rarely every used for anything outside of Blizzard games like Overwatch. We also know that this version of Destiny 2 will have uncapped framerates and will be able to run in 4K. Bungie also made it clear early on that this version of Destiny 2 is going to utilize your hardware to improve gameplay performance.

There will also be a beta, but only the console version of Destiny 2 has received an exact date. Currently, all we know is that the PC beta will begin sometime in August. You can currently only pre-purchase Destiny 2 on PC, but there was no info regarding early beta access dates for those that do. The PC version will have no exclusive content, as all of the extra goodies are going to the PlayStation 4 version of Destiny 2. This will include a new Crucible map, Strike, armor, ship, and an exotic sniper rifle. However, all of this content is timed, meaning that sometime in late 2018 at the earliest PC and Xbox One players will get access to these extra items and levels.
Destiny 2 will release worldwide on PC October 24.
