The first Double XP Weekend for Friday The 13th: The Game has officially begun, so it’s time to dawn your favorite 80s outfit and go to Camp Crystal Lake. First announced on the official Friday The 13th: The Game Twitter on June 19, this event is aiming to reward players who have stuck with the game since its rocky launch. Two of the four rewards have already been released to players in the form of a Retro Jason skin and new outfits for all of the camp counselors.
Friday The 13th: The Game’s Double XP Weekend will run from June 23 until June 25.
There is no time frame on exactly when this event will end, but since the event starts at 12:00 p.m.EST expect it finish around that time. For those looking to maximize their XP, try to focus on playing the counselor more than Jason. While the slasher has the potential to obtain a lot of experience, his use can be inconsistent depending on how skilled the survivors are. He has fewer opportunities for XP rewards, while the counselors get points for doing virtually everything.
Players will also be rewarded with 13,000 credits to spend freely, on kills or Perks for their favorite characters. We recommend using these points on rolling new Perks since they can be pretty pricey and it’s rather difficult to get an Epic tier skill. Try to focus on Perks that are less situation such as being able to swim faster or start a car quicker. These are less reliable in the long run and can easily get you killed by Jason if you have them equipped.
Our choice for Perks is focused on giving you equipment or good stat bonuses from the beginning such as starting with a Map, Healing Spray, or Firecrackers. There are also ones that let you get two uses out of Healing Sprays or have your voice travel farther when talking. Looking for these Perks should be key, as they will give you a general advantage at the start of Friday The 13th: The Game.
